Lenexa City Center and the Public Market
Lenexa City Center is a new and exciting mixed-use neighborhood located at the intersection of 87th Street Parkway and Renner Boulevard, adjacent to Interstate 435. The City Center touts walkability, density, sustainability and community, while offering a unique twist on urban community.
Opening in mid-2017 at City Center, the Lenexa Public Market will be a year-round indoor food market offering fresh foods and locally sourced goods. Lenexa is eagerly seeking merchants to fill the market. The goal is to establish a convenient and welcoming place to “grab a meal with a friend, buy artisan products, pick up a gift, or relax with a cool beverage.” Located inside City Hall, the Lenexa Public Market will be the only fully indoor public marketplace in the Kansas City area. The market is looking to lease space to owner-operated businesses that feature fresh foods and artisanal products. The market will be a lively place for residents to get together, to showcase the community’s character through food, drink and locally-sourced goods, while providing many great opportunities for local entrepreneurs to build, grow or expand their businesses.
Location, location, location!
The Lenexa Public Market is planned to be part of the City of Lenexa’s new civic campus currently under construction at Lenexa City Center. Business estate planning encompasses business formation strategies
Business formation and business succession planning can be complicated legal issues, due to the various tax issues involved, especially with family-owned businesses. Although a Limited Liability Company (LLC) may be the preferred business entity because of its flexibility and simplicity, there are other options to consider as well. A Kansas business planning attorney can help you to determine the best business entity to meet your specific needs, depending on your goals and business status.
There are many tools from which family-owned or small business owners can choose in order to accomplish their estate planning goals. Some of those tools include: Family Limited Partnerships & LLCs, Irrevocable Life Insurance Trusts, Personal Residence Trusts, and Joint Accounts or Joint Ownership. Which planning instrument will best meet your family’s business goals is something you can discuss with your business planning attorney.
