Can a trustee distribute everything right away?
Sometimes, but often not immediately.
The trustee may need to gather information, confirm debts and expenses, coordinate tax issues, value assets, and review the trust terms before making distributions.
A trustee should be careful before distributing everything too quickly. Once money is distributed, it may be difficult to get back if expenses, creditor claims, or tax issues appear later.
