Christina Knopke is an Estate Planning Attorney with a broad practice background. She was recently recognized as a 2015 Missouri & Kansas Rising Star, an award reserved for the top 2.5% of attorneys in Missouri and Kansas under the age of 40.
Well-versed in probate and trust administration, Mrs. Knopke often deals with the aftermath of poor estate planning. As a result, she spends a great deal of her time listening to the concerns and specific priorities of each individual family, and crafting personalized wills and living trusts to cater to each family’s specific needs.
Mrs. Knopke is a key contributor and member of many local organizations geared toward young families, and can often be found giving talks and sharing best practices for parents of young children. She aims to educate growing families to designate guardians for minor children and designs special estate plans to protect them from the unexpected.
A lifelong resident of Kansas City, she earned her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Missouri- Kansas City School of Law and her undergraduate degree from the University of Arizona. She is a member of the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association, Association of Women Lawyers, as well as the individual Kansas and Missouri Bar Associations.
Prior to joining the firm, Mrs. Knopke represented individuals in family law and personal injury cases at the firm of Mullins & Baylard. She also completed a judicial clerkship for the Honorable John Torrence in the Circuit Court of Jackson County, Missouri. While with Judge Torrence, she was exposed to all aspects of litigation, including civil, criminal, and domestic. During law school, Mrs. Knopke was very active in various moot court competitions for both trial advocacy and appellate advocacy. She also spent the last two years of law school enrolled in the University of Missouri Kansas City School of Law Child and Family Services Clinic. Where, as a Rule 13 certified attorney, she represented those without financial stability in their family law cases and served as a Guardian Ad Litem representing the interests of children.
