What happens to social media accounts after death?

Each platform has its own rules.

Some platforms allow memorialization. Some allow account deletion. Some require proof of death or proof of authority. Others may not provide account access at all.

If a social media account, email account, photo library, or online business account matters to you, include instructions as part of your estate planning.
