Do I lose control of my assets if I create a revocable trust?
Usually, no.
With a typical revocable living trust, you remain in control during your lifetime. You can usually serve as trustee, use your assets, sell property, change investments, and amend the trust.
The trust is designed to help during incapacity and after death. It does not normally take away your control while you are alive and able to act.
