(Overland Park, Kan. – April 03, 2013) – Rockhurst University has called upon fellow alumni Christopher M. Gaughan to present on estate planning in the “Personal Financial Planning – Personal & Professional Applications” course of its MBA program on Wednesday, April 10th. The focus of Mr. Gaughan’s presentation will be on estate planning issues faced by young families, including how to ensure young families have properly appointed guardians and how to avoid estate taxes on life insurance.
Mr. Gaughan received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Rockhurst University prior to attending law school at the University of Missouri-Columbia. He is a member of the prestigious American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys, and has delivered presentations for audiences in all capacities of estate planning. He has also been recognized as a Missouri & Kansas Rising Star four times (2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012), an award given to the top 2.5 percent of attorneys in Missouri and Kansas under the age of 40.
